Karen Elise Robbins

Karen Elise Robbins was born in Hartford, Connecticut and has lived in the state ever since. Her father grew up in Manchester and her mother in West Hartford, so it only would make sense that she would end up living on one side of the Connecticut River and her sister on the other. Currently, Karen lives in Simsbury.

Karen received her undergraduate degree from Amherst College with a double major in Political Science and Psychology. She graduated from University of Connecticut School of Law and was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1996. Karen has completed her L.L.M. degree in Elder Law and Estate Planning from Western New England School of Law.  She has experience as a general practitioner with particular interest in the areas of Consumer Credit Law, Tax and Estate Planning, Family Practice and Elder Law. Before focusing on her legal practice, Karen taught paralegal classes in real estate, legal writing, and civil litigation.

Karen is a strong advocate for the rights and protection of women and children and has served in leadership roles since 2017 on the Ethel Walker School Parent Board, and volunteers for the School’s all girls Horizons academic enrichment program.
