Neither victim or victim’s attorney has a right to attend settlement conference

On December 5, 2017 the Connecticut Supreme Court will officially release an opinion. The Court concluded that neither a victim of a crime, or a victim’s representative, is permitted to participate in off-the-record, in-chambers pretrial disposition (settlement) conferences.
