Joel A. DeFelice

Joel A. DeFelice was born in Leominster, Massachusetts and now resides in Ellington, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from The American University, School of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., where Joel was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient from 1994 – 1998.  Joel received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006.

Bar admissions:  Connecticut State Bar, and U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Joel is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Tolland County Bar Association, and the Hartford County Bar Association.  He served as President of the Tolland County Bar Association for the 2014-2015 term.

Attorney DeFelice’s practice concentrates on civil litigation including business disputes, divorce, custody, and personal injury, criminal law, estate planning, as well as residential and commercial real estate.

Joel serves as a Special Divorce Master for the Rockville (Tolland County, Connecticut, 2013 – present) Marriage Dissolution Court.  He has advised business clients relating to business acquisition and sales, telecommunication leases, commercial and residential leases, employment and discrimination matters, and product distribution agreements.

In June, 2014, Attorney DeFelice was selected for membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40, in Connecticut.  Membership in this organization, is by invitation only, and is extended to attorneys who meet qualifications and practice in the areas of criminal defense, and/or civil plaintiff litigation.
